Things I learned from online dating, pt. 3

Something in my online profile calls out to men who are willing to write things like this and MEAN them:

“I’m a gentle breeze and a fierce storm at the same time. For my ideal woman I’ ll be the fluffy kitten and a wild vamp like panther.”

I double checked the profile to make sure there are no Thundercat references, but it does mention I’m a Leo.  If that was his inspiration, I’m scared to think where his poetic license and horse references would have taken him if I were a Sagittarius.

Things I learned from online dating, pt. 2

There is apparently a great untapped (no pun intended) well of 25 year old men out there looking for older women for “casual fun” and for serious relationships.  I got contacted twice this week by younger men, both 25 (and also cute and not apparently spam).

I also learned that while I’m OK with dating a younger man, my definition of “younger” does not include a full decade or more.  I blame it on reading too much research about how the “teenage” brain and thought processes last until around 25.

Men are far more likely to mention their danglybits in an online profile than women are to mention their ladybits.  Note to men:  If I am interested in your danglybits, I will judge them on their own merits, in my own time, and don’t need a preview before I’ve even met you.
